charity music festivals
Lodge Farm Events holds a range of events and this year welcomes back festival goers for the second music event supporting Tiggy’s Trust and Bedfordshire Disabled Horse Riding Association.
About us
Lodge Farm Events was formed originally to support The Tiggy’s Trust Festival. The farm has a strong bias towards equestrian events, with a long history of participation in horse riding and the community that supports it. We also have a strong affiliation with other local disabled charities, including the BDHRA.
Our events are not limited to just equestrian. With wide open spaces and large farm buildings our location is perfectly suited to a wide range of events, not just those that need large spaces.
TIGGY's Trust
Tiggy’s Trust is a foundation that was set up in memory of Tiggy Hancock, an all-round wonderful person, talented rider, beloved daughter, adored sister and loyal friend who was taken from this world on the 16th of June 2021 at just 15 years of age.
The primary aim of the trust is to support young equestrians, spreading the kindness, generosity and inclusivity that was an integral part of Tiggy’s personality.
We have some key initiatives to help us focus on giving the best support to those who need it:
- Mental Health Nurture Programme
- Rider Development Programme
- Cross Country at its Best
- Supporting Youth Charities
BDHRA uses horse riding as therapy to help over 100 children in Bedfordshire each year. On a horse a child receives physiotherapy in a subtle way.
BDHRA are a small, independent, local charity set up sixty years ago by a far-sighted woman called Lady Miriam Godber. We work out of our own premises in the village of Willington in Bedfordshire and have our own ponies and indoor and outdoor riding schools. They are completely volunteer led, which is an amazing achievement.
